The Fionavar Tapestry

The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay
It has taken me over  a year, but I've finally finished #The_Fionavar_Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay.

It is a mother of a book (its actually a mother of 3 books in one), and was one of the best books I've ever read.

I am not, by any account, a quick reader.  Combine that with the fact that as soon as I'm on a project, the only things I ever seem to have time to read are 22 minute scripts or Google News (or anything in Allure, Glamour or People Magazine).

I started this book during production on two shows, several commercials, my trip to London and the brand refresh at the CBC... so needless to say, not a lot of "reading time".

But over the last week the intense desire came over me to hunker down and finish this masterpiece, and I'm so glad I did.

If you want to learn more about the author, you can check out his Wikipedia page.  Some quick points of interest - he's Canadian (rock on!), a segment of this book takes place on the U of T campus (shut up!) and he's just all around awesome (awesome!)!

A must read if you ever come across it.

Now I wonder who owns the rights to produce it and have they started production designs, 'cuz man this would be awesome to put to see on the big screen.....

M.
